The watercolor supplies you have on hand will likely work fine. However, I find the brands on my list to be far superior to anything else on the market. Also, check this list for additional items you may need.

Half inch thick gator board or light weight board approx. 15”x22” to support paper
Something to elevate the top of board about 2 inches
